From a single MCA programme in 2001 to two schools and four AICTE-approved programmes today.
The Union Christian College Association started a new technical institute in 2001, after approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE — Institution ID: 1-8170961), under the name of Union Christian College for conducting the MCA programme. The institute is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
Inception of the MCA department under Union Christian College, with AICTE approval.
The new MCA building inaugurated on 10 January by Richard M. Stallman, pioneer of the free software movement.
College reaccredited at ‘A’ level by NAAC.
MCA lateral entry batch introduced; MCA restructured as a two-year programme.
Achieved the 77th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework.
Two schools — Computer Applications and Management Studies — offering MCA, BCA, MBA and BBA (Hons) to 280 students a year.
