Dr. Shinil Sebastian is an academician, administrator and entrepreneur with over 22 years of experience across higher education, financial services and enterprise. Since July 2025 he has been Director of the self-financing programmes of Union Christian College, Aluva — MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA and B.Com — and leads the Institute of Management & Technology (UCCIMT).
Academics. He holds a Ph.D in Commerce (Finance) from Christ University, Bangalore, along with M.Phil and M.Com degrees. His expertise spans outcome-based teaching, curriculum development and accreditation, with a focus on financial management and security analysis.
Leadership. As Academic Dean, Associate Professor, Head of Corporate Relations and IQAC Coordinator, he has driven academic quality and industry–academia collaboration, coordinated online courses and student training, and led accreditation initiatives.
Industry and enterprise. He headed branches of Geojit Financial Services and IDBI Capital and works as an independent financial consultant in wealth management and financial markets. He is the founder of Keralaspicesonline.com, an e-commerce platform for Kerala spices serving customers worldwide, and of Routes to Wealth, a venture for wealth management and financial literacy.
Research. He has published in journals and presented at national and international conferences; his research focuses on financial markets, investor behaviour and wealth-creation strategies.
